Locomotive Workshop
Railcare Lokverkstad offers workshop services for rolling stock such as repairs, life extensions, and ongoing maintenance. The locomotive workshop in Långsele is strategically located by the Swedish northern main line and has 14 adapted tracks for both light and heavy maintenance and with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes.
Rolling stock life extensions
With our broad competence, we can offer our customers various lifetime extension programs for their railway vehicles, we design, construct and upgrade according to the customer’s wishes.
Engine conversion
We are replacing older diesel engines with new modern diesel engines that reduce operating costs and increase availability, thus meeting today’s environmental requirements and the latest emission classes.
Maintenance
We perform both preventive and corrective maintenance of rolling stock, long experience means that we work proactively and with broad competence.
Train protection system
We install and commission train protection systems on all kinds of railway vehicles.
Radio control
We install and commission radio control systems on locomotives and shunters, with installed radio control equipment we increase our customers’ flexibility regarding shunting.
