Railcare makes changes to Group Management

As a result of a growing organisation and confidence in the future, Railcare is making changes to its Group Management. The new Group Management comprises Mattias Remahl, CEO; Lisa Borgs, the new CFO; Johan Hansén, head of transport operations and Jonny Granlund, head of contracting operations and Machines and Technology.

Railcare has performed well in recent years and is seeing continued high demand both for its transport services and railway maintenance. In combination with the new financial targets adopted by the Board in March, where sales shall increase to SEK 800 million by 2027, the Company has identified a need to make changes to the Group Management for the future.

Lisa Borgs is taking over as CFO, a role Mattias has held in parallel with his role as CEO. Lisa has worked closely with Railcare’s CFO for several years and has also been responsible for the Group reporting.

“Her many years of experience in accounting and auditing, coupled with her broad knowledge of the Railcare Group, make her the obvious choice. And I will be even better placed to focus my energy on my work as CEO,” says Mattias Remahl, and continues:

“The new Group Management also includes Johan Hansén as head of transport operations. This is important, partly because we have enjoyed strong growth in the area and partly because we see a lot of market opportunities in transport in the future.”

Jonny Granlund is continuing as a member of the Group Management and in his new role he will be responsible for all of the contracting operations as well as Machines and Technology. Ulf Marklund, a former member of the Group Management, will concentrate his efforts on the machinery operations, with a focus on the sales and further development of Railcare’s MPV.

“The changes will not have a major impact on the operations themselves. We will continue to work as simply and efficiently as before, especially as we have employees who are willing and able to take great responsibility for always identifying solutions to any problems that arise. This is our way of doing things differently at Railcare and it is something we are extremely proud of and keen to nurture together,” Mattias concludes.
