Flexible construction transport

Our services cover a wide range of transport solutions for railway maintenance. We provide traction for track replacement trains and transport materials such as ballast and sleepers.

With in-depth knowledge of railway operations and a high degree of flexibility, we support contractors with reliable logistics that keep infrastructure projects running. Efficiently and according to plan.

We work safely, or not at all

Safety is a fundamental prerequisite in all railway operations, and our work is permeated by a clear focus on safety at every stage. As a certified railway company, we follow strict regulations and industry standards to ensure that our transports are carried out in a safe and controlled manner. We work continuously with risk assessment, training and systematic improvements to prevent incidents and create a safe working environment for both staff and the surrounding area.

Our ECM-certified workshops ensure that our locomotives and vehicles are always in optimal condition through quality-controlled maintenance and professional service. This enables us to guarantee that our vehicles meet the highest standards of operational safety and reliability.

Our staff are trained and competent in safety-critical tasks, which enables us to act quickly and correctly in all situations. Safety is not something we take for granted; it is something we actively work on every day. Through this work, we can proudly offer safe and efficient transport where safety always comes first. Our proud motto is that we work safely, or not at all.

“Railcare is a reliable provider of transport services that can quickly assist with comprehensive transport solutions. Everything from logistics and production planning to providing the personnel resources our projects require. In addition, they have highly knowledgeable and solution-oriented employees.”

Per-Erik Lindström, Leonhard Weiss

Successful transport project together with Leonhard Weiss

Railcare’s assignment for Leonhard Weiss was to handle all rail transport during the three track replacements, with a pleasing result.

The track replacements took place on the Borås-Herrljunga (40 km), Gällivare-Harrträsk (10 km) and Varberg-Borås (80 km).

“Transport during these track replacements has been very successful. Despite several problems along the way, which always arise in projects like this, we have not had a single stoppage. And despite the incredible quantities of sleepers, every single one has arrived so that the work has been able to be carried out entirely according to plan. This is the result of excellent cooperation with Railcare, says Per-Erik Lindström at Leonhard Weiss.

Increased trust

For Railcare, the work has consisted of machine and wagon transport, sleeper transport to and from the factory, as well as traction and personnel for track replacement machines, ballast cleaners and macadam wagons. And thanks to close cooperation with Leonhard Weiss, Railcare has also gained increased trust in this project.

“In other projects, our main task is of course to solve the transport issues, but in this project we have also provided support in logistics and production,’ says Markus Thurén, project manager at Railcare, and continues:

‘It’s a large operation that has to work, both on the open, busy track and the closed track we are working on. But thanks to transparency and dialogue throughout the project, we have helped each other find solutions.”
